Cane Boutique was established in the year 1992. It was started as a unit manufacturing Rattan and wicker furniture using the top most quality rattan and wicker procured from the dense forests of Malaysia and Andamans. Rattan being one of the most warm and flexible items, its natural allure and style was highlighted to its best by our flawless and detailed workmanship. In the year 2000 Cane Boutique grew and went into manufacturing of wooden furniture, using again the top most exotic woods like Teak, Beech, Mohagany, White Cidar and Austrialian Honee.At present we have a strength of 110 workmen from across the country. We have some very highly trained carpenters with work experience of 25 years. We have also installed sophisticated machines for manufacturing both wood and Rattan furniture for finish, quality and detail. With our present insfrastructure and manpower, we are capable of handling big projects within a stipulated time.

We customize the most varied forms & styles of furniture for all kinds of classical and modern living spaces. With over raw material coming from various countries and is fully treated and is adaptable to all sorts of climates nevertheless the designs, too are perfectly adapted to occidental tastes and fashion. As often the process of manufacture is almost completely handmade but we do have various imported wood/rattan working machines to our credit.

RATTAN, A NATURAL MATERIAL

Rattan is a vine which flourishes in a tropical climate and is mainly grown on plantations. It is a valuable regenerative crop, as the trunk does not die but regenerates itself in a 5 to 7-year cycle.

No other material can be bent into such flowing curves and exciting shapes. Rattan rods are solid and are extremely flexible when held over a flame or in hot steam. The vegetable resin and rattan fibres bond during this process, making the curves completely stable without any loss of the material’s natural lightness.

The corpus of each piece of furniture is constructed of solid rattan rods. The woven elements are made of cane cut evenly from the rods which, thanks to a process patented by Cane Boutique, look as if they were woven from a single cane.
